We see both bright dip and nitric dip used after acid zinc plating, but the results are not equivalent on every substrate.
I would like to collect practical experience:
- Which one gives better brightness on zinc die-cast vs. stamped steel?
- How do you control nitric dip to avoid over-dissolving edges?
- Do you use a separate rinse cascade after the dip?
- What defects appear when the dip is too strong or too weak?
If you have a before/after photo of a defect, please describe it in words as well so it can be translated and searched later.
